Role Overview
As a Director in the GBS leadership team, your focus will be on crafting market-leading GBS solutions and advisory services for our clients.
Your responsibilities include:
Engagement Delivery
- Lead complex, cross-functional programs and projects, overseeing planning, management, and execution.
- Guide client report development, review work quality, and ensure high standards.
Risk Management
- Identify and handle risks, managing engagement assurance, engagement finances, and adherence to risk management frameworks.
People Development
- Lead and develop large teams, identifying growth opportunities and promoting career progression through mentorship and coaching.
Business Development
- Build and nurture relationships both within KPMG and externally, securing future projects.
- Generate new opportunities, expand existing engagements, and develop client proposals.
- Represent KPMG at events, creating thought leadership materials and publications.
Practice Development
- Shape KPMG’s GBS offerings by creating assets, intellectual property, and assisting with team operations, revenue planning, and recruitment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Successful candidates will:
- Have a strong consulting background in a GBS practice at a leading firm.
- Demonstrate excellent people management skills, capable of mentoring and developing large teams.
- Be skilled in delivering large-scale transformation programs with a foundation in GBS operations.
- Understand GBS operating models, systems, data, processes, and governance frameworks.
Candidates should also:
- Stay informed on GBS trends and industry challenges across various sectors.
- Understand end-to-end GBS processes and their interconnectedness in creating a smooth customer experience.
- Possess strong communication skills for building lasting relationships and conveying insights to senior leadership.
- Be adept at managing diverse stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
- Have experience negotiating fees and project scopes with clients.
- Be flexible with travel, and holding an accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/ICAS/CIMA or equivalent) is preferable.
