This team provides technical support to partners and staff and conducts quality control reviews across the firm. A subset of NATS is the Financial Reporting team, which focuses on supporting audit teams with technical accounting and financial reporting matters.
We are expanding our Financial Reporting team to support the growing demands of our audit practice. This is an exciting time to join us, as we aim to maintain our high-quality standards, identify ways to improve efficiency, and stay ahead of upcoming changes in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

- Offer consultation on financial and non-financial reporting matters through the firm’s service desk.
- Conduct second opinion reviews of technical accounting issues under IFRS and UK GAAP, while helping to develop audit teams.
- Draft internal technical communications and practice aids for corporate reporting.
- Collaborate with team members on ongoing projects, including the development of audit programs, managing the financial reporting intranet, and creating technical training materials.
- Stay up-to-date on new and emerging developments in financial reporting and play a key role in implementing changes.
- Serve as a point of contact for informal technical queries from partners and staff across various offices.
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience as a Senior Manager, working in or closely with an audit technical team.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP financial reporting.
- Experience reviewing financial statements of UK Premium, Standard, and AIM-listed companies to ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
What You’ll Gain:
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative and supportive team, while engaging with a wide range of departments including Accounting and Financial Reporting, Learning & Development, and Valuations. Additionally, you’ll play a role in navigating exciting developments, such as changes in accounting standards and emerging areas like sustainability reporting.
The position offers hybrid working and can be based out of any of our UK offices, though some travel to regional offices is expected.
