The Role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Manager to join our CTAC team in Birmingham. In this role, you’ll develop key client relationships, support junior team members, deliver high-quality client service, and uncover business growth opportunities. Position Overview

As part of our rapidly growing CTAC team, you’ll work with an ambitious leadership group on diverse tax projects. You will support clients from various sectors, including UK-listed companies, private equity-backed businesses, and family-owned enterprises. While experience working with multinationals is helpful, we value a strong technical foundation, drive, and curiosity above all else.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive tax advisory services, covering tax structuring, refinancing, organizational restructuring, tax authority inquiries, and compliance.
• Provide International and Complex UK Tax Advisory solutions aligned with clients’ commercial goals while overseeing the compliance process.
• Collaborate with specialists from other teams and global offices, ensuring their input on client projects.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional growth.
• Manage team operations, resource allocation, and project performance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by deeply understanding their business needs, creating opportunities for additional tax and other advisory services.
• Lead proposals and business pitches, contributing to the creation of solutions for clients and supporting Directors and Partners in new business initiatives.
• Uphold KPMG’s core values as a role model for your team.

Qualifications and Skills

• ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent, with a solid background in corporate tax and accounting.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and well-developed analytical abilities.
• A commercial mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing long-term business growth opportunities for KPMG and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and foster client relationships effectively.
• High energy and enthusiasm, with a commitment to expanding technical expertise and attention to detail.
