About the Position
The International Labour Organization (ILO) is seeking a qualified Training Officer to join the Better Work Pakistan program. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on improving labor standards and enhancing competitiveness in the apparel sector. The Training Officer will play a critical role in developing and delivering training programs, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the sector in Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities
As a Training Officer, your primary duties will include:
1. Training Development and Delivery
- Design and coordinate training and capacity-building activities tailored to the apparel sector.
- Deliver classroom-based and virtual training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
2. Collaboration and Coordination
- Work with the Better Work Global Learning Team to maintain high-quality training standards.
- Liaise with international buyers, program partners, and other stakeholders on training initiatives.
3. Quality Assurance
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure training materials align with global best practices and local needs.
4. Advisory and Support Services
- Provide advisory services to enterprises to enhance their performance.
- Facilitate improvement committees and offer technical advice to management and workers.
5. Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare periodic reports, including work plans and technical progress updates.
- Maintain databases and organize training-related information for easy access.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
A university degree in adult education, international development, human resource management, law, or a related field.
Experience
- At least two years of experience in a training or capacity-building role.
- Experience with international agencies or private sector organizations in corporate social responsibility or labor standards is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of training methodologies and capacity-building techniques.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English and Urdu; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Salary and Benefits
- Grade: NO-A
- Gross Salary: PKR 60,28,606.00 – PKR 102,43,339.00 annually.
