Overview
Join our dynamic Tax team as a Tax Manager during an exciting period of growth. This role provides an excellent opportunity to leverage your extensive knowledge and experience to influence and guide the team. You will tackle complex challenges while assisting with advisory projects, all while fostering strong relationships with our high-net-worth (HNW) clients to ensure compliance and adherence to procedures.
The position allows for flexible home-based or hybrid working arrangements, with occasional travel to various locations, including Leeds, Nottingham, Edinburgh, London, Worthing, or Exeter, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
As a Tax Manager, you will:
– Deliver Personal Tax Compliance: Provide high-quality personal tax compliance services, from review to completion, for a diverse portfolio of clients.
– Engage with HMRC: Regularly communicate with HMRC to keep clients’ tax affairs up to date and address any inquiries effectively.
– Build Client Relationships: Foster long-lasting, positive relationships with clients, ensuring that you are responsive to their needs and inquiries.
– Maintain Technical Expertise: Stay current with legislative changes and best practices, advising clients and team members accordingly. Spot opportunities to expand services offered across the business.
– Manage Team Workloads: Oversee and support junior team members, providing constructive feedback and identifying their capabilities and training needs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
– Qualifications: CTA qualified (either fully or partially) and ATT qualified are essential for this role.
– Experience: Substantial experience in a similar role, focusing on personal taxation, with demonstrable experience in preparing tax returns and managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
– Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is crucial to identify technical issues that may not be immediately apparent.
– Tax Compliance Knowledge: A strong working knowledge of all areas of tax compliance work is necessary to excel in this position.
