The Team
Our Family Office and Private Client (FO & PC) team is a national practice consisting of 162 members across the UK, including 5 Partners, 3 Associate Partners, and 12 Directors. We operate as a unified business with five primary service areas:
- Transactions and Entrepreneurial Shareholders
- Ultra High Net Worth Individuals
- International Matters
- Partnerships
- Investigations and Enquiries
We work with a variety of high net worth clients, including stakeholders from privately owned businesses, executives at multinational firms, members of landed estates, and senior professionals in private equity. Our expertise also extends to advising on Trusts, Estates, and Partnerships.
We invite motivated tax advisers or accountants (ATT, CTA, ACA, or ACCA) with personal tax experience to apply.
The Role
We are seeking a Manager to join our FO & PC team in London. This primarily advisory position focuses on high net worth individuals, addressing both UK and international tax matters while also engaging with entrepreneurial businesses and shareholder-owned companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality personal tax services to clients.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of complex clients, providing advice on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, and international tax matters.
- Develop innovative and tailored solutions to tax challenges, often creating bespoke advice for unique assignments.
- Oversee tax advisory projects, ensuring compliance with deadlines and risk management procedures.
- Manage work progress, ensuring timely billing and efficient cash collection.
- Mentor and oversee the development of junior staff and new recruits.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- A qualification as an accountant or tax advisor, with experience in personal tax and exposure to a varied client base.
- Strong academic performance complemented by a deep understanding of private client issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to delivering tailored tax solutions for clients.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A commitment to clients, colleagues, and the values of KPMG.
- Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset for problem-solving and advice.
