The SOW Drafter plays a key role in supporting the sale of our professional services portfolio. This position involves creating, editing, tracking, and managing Statements of Work (SOWs) with input from various teams such as solution experts, approved service providers, and legal reviewers. The SOW Drafter is responsible for ensuring that all SOWs are clear, well-structured, and meet the business and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities of a SOW Drafter
As a SOW Drafter, you will have various tasks related to the drafting and management of statements of work. Here’s a breakdown of your main responsibilities:
Assembly and Management of SOWs
One of the primary roles of the SOW Drafter is to manage the entire process of creating and handling SOWs. From the initial drafting phase to the archiving of the executed documents, you will ensure that all SOWs are properly assembled. This will require collaboration with multiple stakeholders to guarantee that all necessary details are included in the documents.
Creating and Editing SOW Documents
The SOW Drafter is responsible for creating customer-facing and provider-facing statements of work, following established templates. You will also be responsible for editing and re-writing solution-based content provided by Solution Architects or Solution Engineers to ensure that the document meets the required standards.
Proofreading and Quality Control
A critical part of the SOW Drafter’s role is to proofread the documents to ensure clarity, consistent formatting, and clean presentation. This involves reviewing the SOWs to ensure they are free from errors and are presented professionally to clients and providers.
Collaboration with Solution Architects and Sales Teams
The SOW Drafter will work closely with Solution Architects, Sales personnel, and other stakeholders to incorporate client-requested changes. You will ensure that the final SOW meets the client’s needs and reflects any adjustments or updates.
Legal Review and Negotiation
In this role, you will collaborate with Staff Attorneys to manage the negotiation and approval of terms and conditions. The SOW Drafter must ensure that all legal requirements are met and that the document is in line with the company’s policies and guidelines.
Log and Update SOW Materials
The SOW Drafter will be responsible for loading and updating all related materials into a centralized management portal. Keeping track of these documents will ensure easy access and organization of all SOW-related materials.
Communicating with Stakeholders
You will regularly log and communicate status updates to key stakeholders. As the SOW Drafter, you must keep everyone informed about the progress of the SOW, any changes made, and any challenges faced during the drafting process.
Template Creation and Content Development
