Job Summary
The Senior PEAL Officer – Planning and Expansion will help RTV grow its programs into new areas. This includes researching new regions, creating plans for expansion, and ensuring we have the needed resources. You will work with the PEAL Team Lead to carry out expansion plans in different regions or countries. You will also work with local staff to conduct surveys and help new teams settle in the new areas.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute Expansion Strategy: Lead the planning and execution of RTV’s growth plans, making sure they match our goals.
- Prioritize Regions: Choose and prioritize regions, districts, and areas for expansion based on data.
- Develop Expansion Plans: Create short-term and long-term plans for expansion and get them approved.
- Create Tools and Models: Develop tools and models to support expansion efforts.
- Research and Analyze Data: Conduct research to find new opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with the PEAL Lead, Government Relations Officer, and others to expand RTV’s work in new districts.
- Innovate in Expansion: Develop new strategies to improve how we plan and execute growth.
- Local Engagement and Advocacy: Promote RTV’s work to local leaders and officials to build partnerships.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage with partner communities, including government and local leaders.
- Strategic Planning: Join planning sessions to track progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Work Planning and Monitoring: Create work plans and schedules with the PEAL Manager.
- Team Leadership: Lead the expansion team, ensuring good communication and task management.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as needed, such as engaging partner communities for sustainability.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Population Studies, or related fields.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in data management, research, and project planning, especially in expansion or development projects.
- Postgraduate Qualifications: Advanced degrees in Monitoring & Evaluation, Project Management, or related fields are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Skilled in statistics, data management, and tools like Alteryx, ArcGIS, STATA, SurveyCTO, Excel, GIS platforms.
- Field Experience: Experience working in remote or underserved areas is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and teamwork skills to drive expansion efforts.
