About the Team

Our External Audit team in Canberra provides high-quality audit services that help clients meet financial and regulatory compliance requirements. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll work across diverse projects, tackling complex accounting issues and adding value through insights that enhance client confidence. In this role, you’ll gain experience with prominent clients, access Deloitte’s training and development programs, and receive support for further study.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Advisory: Assess and enhance clients’ financial and regulatory compliance through meticulous audits.
• Project Leadership: Lead and contribute to various audit projects, supporting clients across multiple sectors.
• Insight Generation: Utilize data analysis to generate valuable insights that add value to the audit process.
• Team Development: Mentor and develop team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members across service lines.

About You

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification: Studying toward or completed CA qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience: 3-5 years in external audit or a related field, with government accounting experience preferred.

• Eligibility: Australian Citizenship required; Federal Government security clearance is highly desirable.
