Key Responsibilities

• Audit Engagements: Deliver high-quality internal audit services across various sectors, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing insightful recommendations and solutions.
• Team Leadership: Develop your technical and advisory skills while mentoring junior team members.
• Risk Management: Lead controls assurance projects to help clients effectively manage and mitigate risks.
• Digital Integration: Utilize data and digital tools to enhance audit quality and provide real-time insights.

Deloitte’s Controls Assurance team partners with some of Australia’s most significant businesses to advise on their control environments and provide assurance on the frameworks that stakeholders rely on. Our goal is to deliver differentiated internal audit services and transform internal controls through innovative digital solutions, helping clients build resilience and readiness in a changing environment.

Skills / Experience / Education

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to plan and execute risk and control projects
• Strong analytical skills to assess business processes and controls
• Ability to lead stakeholder interactions and gather key information
• Adaptability in multi-disciplinary team environments

Experience:

• 5+ years in internal audit or controls assurance
• Experience in leading client-facing projects and ensuring compliance

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred but not mandatory
