The FO&PC Team

Our FO&PC team is a dynamic group of 162 tax professionals across the UK, led by 5 Partners, 3 Associate Partners, and 12 Directors. We specialize in providing tax compliance services to high net worth individuals, entrepreneurial clients, trusts, estates, and partnerships, with a focus on personalized solutions.

Role: Private Client Tax Compliance Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Compliance Manager to join our Edinburgh team. This is a hands-on role involving compliance management for high-net-worth individuals, trust accounts, and entrepreneurial businesses, ensuring that clients receive high-quality service in all aspects of their tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality tax compliance services for a diverse client portfolio, including high-net-worth individuals and trusts.
• Review complex and varied tax returns, capital gains calculations, land and property accounts, and residence/remittance issues.
• Oversee trust accounts, tax computations, and tax returns, and build strong client relationships with trustees.
• Identify potential advisory opportunities while managing compliance processes and adhering to best practices for risk management.
• Manage work in progress, ensuring timely billing and efficient cash collection.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

For the role of Private Client Tax Compliance Manager, candidates should ideally have:

• Qualifications: ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent tax/accountancy qualification. Experience in personal tax compliance with a diverse client base is essential.
• Compliance Expertise: Proven skills in handling complex personal tax issues, including trust and estate tax matters.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to approach complex issues with a commercial, solution-oriented mindset.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
