An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Trade Support Senior Associate at IQ-EQ in Dublin, Ireland. This full-time position within the Fund Management Operations Department focuses on providing market trade support and managing cash flows across all funds and accounts actively managed by the Asset Management team. The role involves monitoring trades, liaising with third-party fund providers, and ensuring efficient trade settlements, all while supporting daily reporting and maintaining key market data.

Job Description:

As an Operational Trade Support Senior Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing market trade activities, ensuring successful settlement through the Bloomberg AIM platform, and managing the cash movements between clients’ accounts. You will work closely with asset managers, counterparties, and fund providers to resolve trade-related issues and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Your role will also involve preparing daily control reports, handling audit requests, and maintaining static market data for efficient client retention and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Trade Monitoring: Monitor Bloomberg AIM to capture all market activities and progress them to custodians for successful settlement.
  • Fund Trade Settlement: Instruct and settle 3rd party fund trades, liaising with fund providers to resolve any settlement issues.
  • Unit Procedures: Review and update unit procedures to ensure efficiency in operations.
  • Trade Report Review: Review daily market trades reports and liaise with asset managers and counterparties to ensure efficient settlement.
  • Non-STP Trades: Input and verify all non-STP trades, including 3rd party funds, FFXs, options, flexi & cash journals.
  • Cash Movements: Calculate, prepare, and balance client and fund cash movements, ensuring alignment with market requirements.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain client/fund data and market static data to support efficient trading and retention.
  • Control Reports: Generate, check, and file daily control reports, resolving any issues and reporting to line management.
  • EMIR Reporting: Provide oversight on EMIR reporting for trade compliance.
  • Audit Support: Liaise with auditors and provide support for ad hoc audit requests.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience in the finance industry (preferred).
  • Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to engage with both internal and external service providers.
  • Are highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Can work under pressure while remaining proactive in finding solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Finance Industry Experience: Prior experience in the finance or investment industry, especially in operational trade support, is beneficial.
  • Analytical Skills: High-level numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Bloomberg AIM or other trading platforms is beneficial.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with internal teams and external service providers.
  • Problem Solving: Good problem-solving skills to address issues and identify solutions under pressure.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with EMIR and other relevant reporting requirements is an asset.

Education and Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the finance industry or operational trade support roles.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in asset management, funds, or trading operations would be advantageous.
