About the Assurance & Business Services Team
Many businesses need to demonstrate financial performance to stakeholders, even when a full audit isn’t required. The Assurance & Business Services team you’ll join provides these services to a wide variety of clients—from small startups and family businesses to non-profit organisations and international firms, across different industries.
Your Role
In this role, you’ll work directly with client finance teams, from junior staff to financial directors. You’ll be based either at client offices or an Evelyn Partners office, collaborating with others to provide assurance, advice, and solutions that genuinely make a difference.
Audit projects are divided into three phases: Planning, Fieldwork, and Completion. Depending on the complexity and size of the client, each phase can last from a week to several months. You’ll quickly gain exposure to diverse businesses, helping you develop key skills to succeed as an auditor.
Your responsibilities include:
- Working with a team on various audit and accounting tasks.
- Understanding client businesses and their financial setups.
- Keeping senior team members updated on progress.
- Learning and using our audit and accounting software.
- Handling audit or accounting-related questions.
- Prioritizing tasks and monitoring time to stay within budget.
Requirements
To apply for this internship, you should:
- Be available from 30th June to 8th August 2025.
- Be in your penultimate year of university.
- Be on track for at least a 2:2 degree, in any field of study.
- Have a minimum of 112 UCAS points from your top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies.
- Have a minimum of Grade 5 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths at GCSE level.
At Evelyn Partners, we embrace diversity as it strengthens our success. You’ll find a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone is valued. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is reflected in our active employee resource groups and ongoing initiatives. We aim to create a workplace where everyone can excel and reach their potential.
We are committed to making reasonable adjustments during the application process, so don’t hesitate to discuss any specific needs with your recruiter.
Important Notes for Your Application
When you click the ‘I’m interested’ button, you’ll be taken to your profile page. As we update our system, please keep in mind:
- You can only apply to one programme per recruitment season. If your application is unsuccessful, you’ll need to wait until the next September to reapply for the following year.
- In the ‘Experience’ section, if you don’t have any previous experience, enter ‘N/A’ in the ‘Title’ field and select random start and end dates.
- In the ‘Education’ section, you don’t need to include all of your education details. We’ll request this information separately after you complete your profile. Just make sure to fill in the mandatory ‘Institution’ (University) question. If you have more than one degree, list only the most recent one.
- Uploading your CV in the ‘Resume’ section is mandatory, as it will be reviewed by the hiring manager.
- The ‘Message to Hiring Manager’ section is optional and will not be formally reviewed.
