Introduction to the Assurance & Business Services Team

The Assurance & Business Services team at Evelyn Partners provides essential support to businesses by assuring investors and stakeholders about their financial performance. This team serves a diverse range of clients, from small businesses and family enterprises to non-profit organizations, across various industries in the UK and internationally.

What You Will Be Doing

As a member of our Assurance & Business Services team, you will work closely with client finance teams at different levels, ranging from Accounts Assistants to Financial Directors. Your work environment will vary depending on the engagement, whether at client offices or at Evelyn Partners’ locations, where you will collaborate to deliver valuable assurance, advice, and solutions.

Our audit process includes three phases: Planning, Fieldwork, and Completion. Each phase can take from one week to several months, depending on the client’s size and complexity. You will gain exposure to a variety of businesses, helping you develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become an effective auditor.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team on diverse audit and accountancy tasks.
  • Understand our clients and their business operations.
  • Keep senior stakeholders informed about project progress.
  • Become proficient with our audit and accounting software.
  • Address any queries related to audits or accountancy.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively within budget constraints.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Be available from June 30 to August 8, 2025.
  • Be in your penultimate year at university.
  • Be on track for at least a predicted 2:2 degree in any discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 112 UCAS points in your top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies.
  • Achieve at least a Grade 5 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths at GCSE level.
