About the Assurance & Business Services Team
Many organizations require reassurance regarding their financial performance, even when a full audit isn’t mandatory. The team you will join offers extensive Assurance & Business Services to a diverse range of clients, including small businesses, family-run start-ups, and non-profits across various sectors in the UK and beyond.
Your Role
As an intern in our Assurance & Business Services team, you’ll collaborate directly with finance teams of different seniority levels, from Accounts Assistants to Financial Directors. Your working environment will vary based on the engagement, taking place either at client offices or Evelyn Partners locations. You will work together to deliver assurance, advice, and effective solutions that genuinely impact clients.
Our audit process consists of three key stages: Planning, Fieldwork, and Completion. Depending on the client’s size and complexity, each phase may last from one week to several months. This role provides valuable exposure to different businesses, helping you build the skills and knowledge required to excel as an auditor.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members on various audit and accountancy tasks.
- Gain insight into our clients and their business portfolios.
- Keep senior stakeholders updated on project progress.
- Familiarize yourself with our audit and accounting software.
- Address queries related to audit or accountancy.
- Prioritize tasks and monitor time to stay within budget.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Be available from 30th June to 8th August 2025.
- Be in your penultimate year of university.
- Aim for at least a predicted 2:2 degree in any discipline.
- Achieve a minimum of 112 UCAS points in your top three A-Levels (excluding General Studies).
- Obtain at least Grade 5 (or equivalent) in GCSE English and Maths.
