Job Description:

Simplot is seeking a dedicated Food Technologist to join our dynamic Innovation and Development team. This part-time role (22.5 hours/week) at our Mentone/Moorabbin head office offers a chance to drive and deliver innovative food ideas and support the development of key food categories, contributing to Simplot Australia’s growth.

In this role, you will be pivotal in identifying and commercializing new food products by collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers. Your focus will be on product innovation, project management, and supporting the technical aspects of new product introductions (NPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to inspire and identify innovative growth opportunities.
• Manage projects through Simplot’s stage-gate process with strong project management principles.
• Provide technical solutions to support the development and delivery of new food products.
• Support and guide cross-functional teams on the technical aspects of product development.
• Communicate project progress and escalations to stakeholders, ensuring milestones are met.
• Implement the Stage-Gate Product Innovation system effectively, ensuring successful project delivery.
