Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee Dim Sum kitchen operations from opening to service.
  • Ensure adherence to HACCP and safety standards at all times.
  • Maintain consistent food quality and presentation.
  • Work with the Executive Chinese Chef to develop and train kitchen staff.
  • Oversee daily and weekly food orders and ensure the use of seasonal ingredients.
  • Control food production costs and ensure efficiency in kitchen operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve kitchen procedures and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement new menu items in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety codes are followed across all kitchen departments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a talented Dim Sum Chef with a passion for Chinese cuisine, particularly Dim Sum. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, have a deep understanding of kitchen operations, and possess excellent communication skills.

Skills

  • Expertise in Dim Sum and Chinese cuisine.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Dim Sum Chef or in a similar culinary role.
  • Proven experience in a high-end kitchen, particularly in Chinese cuisine.
  • Experience managing kitchen staff and ensuring a high level of team performance.
  • Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Education

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Additional certifications in food safety and hygiene are an advantage.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in preparing Dim Sum or other related dishes.
  • Experience in luxury hotel or restaurant kitchens.
  • Familiarity with food safety, hygiene regulations, and quality control.
