About the Role
NYU Langone Hospitals is hiring a Clinical Specialist, Speech Language Pathologist for the Acute Inpatient Rehab unit. In this role, you will provide care to patients with speech, language, and swallowing difficulties. You will also mentor staff and students, assist with improving team performance, and support clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, or swallowing problems.
- Create personalized treatment plans and adjust them as needed.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and rehabilitation.
- Mentor and train staff and students.
- Participate in quality improvement and research projects.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licenses: NY State Speech Pathology License and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).
- Experience: At least 5 years as a licensed SLP.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5–8 years of clinical experience.
- Membership in professional organizations.
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or research.

Salary Range: $81,325.14 – $115,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications).
