About the Job
In this role, you will provide on-site support for each Assurance assignment, ensuring clients receive top-notch service across all aspects.
Responsibilities
- Play a crucial role in Assurance teams, with opportunities to lead the on-site elements of assignments.
- Ensure assignments align with pre-assignment instructions, executing all tasks efficiently and according to firm procedures.
- Uphold Assurance quality standards, contributing to both internal and external quality assurance processes.
- Communicate any compliance issues or contentious matters to the assignment manager immediately, while suggesting potential solutions.
- Offer adequate briefings and supervision, providing “on-the-job” training for junior staff members.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, consistently practicing excellent client service principles.
- Stay informed about the firm’s specialized services and publications to add value for clients.
- Review work completed by junior staff for thoroughness and accuracy and participate in job appraisal reviews.
- Track actual time spent versus budget on each assignment and complete necessary review procedures before submitting files for manager review.
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge through relevant reading and courses, meeting professional CPD requirements.
- Keep training records up-to-date and stay on track with exam studies as applicable.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions, assisting with student recruitment and marketing activities as needed.
Essential Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Prior experience in Assurance tasks within a professional services environment.
- Proven client management experience, demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality Assurance services.
- Familiarity with an analytical review approach is desirable.
