Job Overview

As an Assistant Chief Engineer, you will help manage the daily operations of the property’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You’ll supervise maintenance staff, oversee preventative maintenance programs, handle repairs, ensure safety compliance, and assist in budgeting and capital expenditure planning. You’ll report directly to the Chief Engineer and play a key role in managing the property’s engineering operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Chief Engineer in planning and executing engineering programs.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and ensure all systems (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) are functioning properly.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and assign tasks.
  • Manage repair schedules and ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to budgeting and cost control.
  • Prepare reports on project milestones, progress, and status.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design, testing, or maintenance issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least one year of management experience in engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.

Preferred Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Specialized knowledge or equivalent to two years of experience in the field.
