Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad range of duties, including but not limited to:

• Month-End Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of month-end reports.
• Payroll Support: Provide payroll support for a team of 100 to an outsourced provider, with experience in ADP being beneficial.
• Taxation & Compliance: Handle BAS, FBT, and PRT to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Balance Sheet Management: Assist in managing balance sheet accounts to maintain financial integrity.
• Reporting Support: Collaborate with the Finance Manager on reporting requirements and initiatives as needed.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Accountant.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting.
• Industry Knowledge: Property and construction experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Taxation Compliance: Strong experience in month-end reporting and taxation compliance requirements.
