Key Responsibilities

As our new Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Production of Management Accounts: You will prepare essential financial statements, including Profit & Loss accounts, balance sheets, and cost of sales reports, all crucial for informed decision-making.
• Variance Reporting: You will analyze variances and provide insightful commentary to accompany the management accounts, ensuring transparency and understanding.
• Intercompany Reconciliations: As part of your role, you will handle intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Inventory Reporting: With an inventory value of approximately £4 million, you will monitor and report on inventory levels, which is vital for operational efficiency.
• Month-End Activities: You will be involved in month-end journal postings, accruals, and prepayments, ensuring that all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Depreciation Forecasting: You will accurately calculate and forecast depreciation for various assets, a critical function for the company’s financial health.
• Project Support: You will have the opportunity to support various internal projects, showcasing your skills as a proactive Accountant.

What You Will Need

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Relevant Experience: Previous experience as a Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner, Commercial Accountant, Finance Manager, or Finance Analyst is essential.
• Manufacturing Background: While not mandatory, experience in a manufacturing environment will be beneficial.
• Excel Proficiency: A strong working knowledge of Excel is critical for analyzing data and preparing reports.
