Overview of Assurance & Business Services
The Assurance & Business Services team at Evelyn Partners plays a vital role in assisting businesses that need to provide assurance to investors and stakeholders about their financial health, even when a full audit is not necessary or legally required. Our team delivers comprehensive Assurance & Business Services to a diverse range of clients, from small enterprises and family-owned businesses to non-profit organizations, across various sectors both in the UK and abroad.
What Will You Be Doing?
As an intern in our Assurance & Business Services team, you will collaborate closely with finance teams at different levels, from Accounts Assistants to Financial Directors. Your work environment will vary with each engagement, as you may be based either at client sites or in an Evelyn Partners office. You will work alongside colleagues to provide valuable assurance, advice, and solutions that truly make a difference.
Our audit process involves three main phases: Planning, Fieldwork, and Completion. Each phase can last from a week to several months, depending on the complexity and size of the client. This internship offers you a unique opportunity to gain exposure to various businesses, equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary to become an effective auditor and trusted advisor.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Collaborating with the team to perform various audit and accountancy tasks
- Gaining an understanding of clients and their business operations
- Keeping senior stakeholders updated on project developments
- Becoming proficient with our audit and accounting software
- Addressing queries related to audits or accountancy matters
- Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively against budget constraints
Qualifications for Success
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Be in your penultimate year of university
- Be on track to achieve a predicted degree classification of at least 2:2 in any discipline
- Have a minimum of 112 UCAS points from your top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies
- Have achieved at least a Grade 5 (or equivalent) in both English Language and Maths GCSEs
